2005.12" x 18" prismacolor pencils on black paper
This work is a vision of energy radiating from eyes forming two hands, and these hands resonated with a DNA energy with physical hands. The rest of the drawing unfolded after researching Nepalese Thankga paintings, and I found their format conducive to my style and vision. It is unfortunate that there is no "Visionary Art" category on deviant art, as I would consider my art to be grasping toward the visionary.

Its awsome how everything you created formed into one(like the flames turned into DNA) 2 of my sketches, window beat and storm station(im not finished with them)have tekniqes like that.

Thank you. A lot of what I do involves metamorphosis from one substance to another, such as robot flowing into human, fire into DNA, waves into mountains...it's one of my favorite technical approaches and helps weave together fragmented elements into a whole, as well as hopefully points to the symbolic aspects of fluidity and transformation.
I'll look at your new stuff when you put it up.

your style is beautiful; as for labels, i really couldn't say which category it's "supposed" to go in. the clouds are incredible and i love the helixes. nice details in the wee galaxies and the ocean! i believe i too have at times felt like this, and that's why i like it
