This was made as a full size poster for my girlfriend for her birthday recently. It's also cleverly signed as I found two places with my forename and surname!!

Dartmoor National Park? No-one I know calls it that... Also, I'm pretty sure that the "Park" bit is covering up Totnes. (Where I live).

Thanks for the comment, I suppose if you're from round there you will have a different name for it, similar as to the national parks round here, i.e. The Lakes, not The Lake District National Park, however I have tried to use exact names for everything. Also all of the place names are covering something else up, just unfortunate that way!

Right, just you have Torquay, which is about 10 miles away from where I live, but no Paigton, which is a closer town.

Hi, it was all done totally by trial and error. The best method I found was to have an outline map of the country as a template and then, using an atlas and also google maps, fill in the template with names of towns and cities where they should be. After a bit of editing, tweaking and resizing place names it should look good. Really easy but does take quite a while.

Hi there, thanks for the comment which is sort of right and wrong. Britain, or Great Britain to give it its full name, is indeed a seperate island to Ireland, but I think perhaps you're mistaking the British Isles with the UK. The British Isles is a geographical area of over 6000 islands including Great Britain and Ireland, the UK is a country. Which is why I named it British Isles.

Really? must sniff them out then! You'd think thay'd have somthing that cool for sale at the rocks or opera house.
Probably wont be that big, WA is mostly empty space where desert meets sea and there's even an (illegal)idependant country in the middle of it, NT is mostly heritage land, i guess you'd have the most problem with NSW as it has a town every 30km. You'd be able to SEE the great dividing range, hahaha!

Funny how I found this. Another guy was inspired by this to make something similar about my (and his) hometown and then I think "wayt Gregatron. I know this guy..." and then I read you had an DD.
