i love the free-er style of the hair you have in this one!
and the direction in great (hair blowing one way, the arrows from the camera another)!

nothing better than randomly pulled titles. especially when psychology and textbooks are involved. great image g.

since ultimately it was an assemblage of random bits and pieces from unused stock, and other completed images i figured that was the most appropriate way to go.

excllent!
I was noticing some of your work is quite vividly colored, like this one and some is more what I would call muted or distressed coloring. Is it just up to your mood on that particular day, or is there something else that helps you decide whether to go vivid or muted?

gregoriousone In reply to LizCohn [2008-05-01 03:39:56 +0000 UTC]

good question. I love colour.. I like playing with in its many tones and shades. I spend a lot of time on the colour design of my images. As for the choices its probably more my mood, but also as im constructing each image it starts to take on a certain feel- depending on what im trying to say. the colour i think plays an important role in getting that across.

I learned about the curve of forgetting in psychology. I'm so pleased that I know what that means.

Oh, and the picture is VERY cool, too.

i must confess i have no idea what it meant until i googled it a few minutes ago. something in it clicked with the image.

Decidedly creepy. It's got a slight dystopian feel to it, mostly since the figure seems soulless as they photograph. Most intriguing image! I like it.

i suppose it does sort of have a creepy undertone to it.. its the vintage computer reels for eyes!
actually I wasnt even going to add anything figurative this was going to be purely abstract, but one thing led to another and then the art gods took over.. lol.

That's how it usually goes, and yes it was the eyes that did it.

the title is great...now all that's needed is a cool noir-ish psychocyber Gibson-esque novel to go with it...
