Description
the figure on the right was an old pencil drawing I found. done at least 12 years ago.there is a tamed and somewhat structured chaos present in this piece.
most of the paint splotches and squiggly lines were created in corel painter.

There's something oddly sweet and childlike about this one. Verra purdy.

it might be the use of primary colours..

Probably...for some reason I imagined the drawn figure was bending over something, like a baby crib or something. And singing a pretty lullabye? I don't know, mental associations are weird. :^P

I really enjoy looking at your work, as there is so much to look at... all the detail and textures and interesting shapes... *sigh*
You are a wonderful artist.

Yeah, this feels more restrained. The normal chaos of your work is not present in this as the figure seems to be straining to contain it. Hence the image being more subdued. :-]

makes sense. I guess from a perspective it is. This came about so spontaneously and was basically me just doing some free association with some bits and pieces of images.. so from a creative point it was very bold. But compositionally (sp?) it does read a subdued, or a controlled chaos.
thanks for the insight rome.
