mirrors are tricky things indeed.
one should never totally trust a mirror, especially when there is smoke involved.

thanks.
originally it wasnt going to be so graphical... but i was having a hard time finding a focal point.. so i started to treat it more graphically and from a more designed mindset.

so how many layers do you usually end up with and is it just an overlay with grunge? I like the writing you have going on, and the blue is very nice. sweet job!

how many layers do i usually end up with?
good question.
id say most of my images average around 20 layers.
the reason i cant give you an exact is that i work in what i call a more painterly fashion-- i build up several layers then flatten them, build up, flatten-- most of the time. there is also some brushes involved, but rarely using the paintbrush tool. most of my brush work comes from the eraser and burn tool.
i hope that answers your question.

that does answer my question... thanks for answering it. I usually do the same thing, except I dont really go for as much texture as I should. texture is a great component in artwork

Beautiful textures...it gives the image a sense of wear and tear...it's moldy from age, like it was in a shoebox in the attic for years. very nice.

thanks!! most of the source material was in a shoebox in the back of a closet for many a year.

very cool greg! it makes me feel like i'm hallucinating the early 60s! the lined notebook pages divide things up swell-like! supa dupa!
