A net buddy of mine--she took a cam pic and I loved the lollipop...charcoal on layout paper--gave it a nice swooshie texture...done roughly in 2004Related content

Not sure what you're doing, but I tried to use charcoal pencils at first and my stuff was like crap and a half. I switched to actual charcoal sticks (vine or willow) and the difference was amazing.
