So apparently the Teletubbies have babies in their Tubbytronic Superdome (yes, that's what their house is called,) now. Who are their parents? NOBODY KNOWS. Where did they come from? NOBODY KNOWS. What are their names? We actually know the answer to that. The... *sigh* Tiddlytubbies names are Daa-Daa (the green one,) Umpie Pumpie (the yellow one that, let's face it, looks exactly like Laa-Laa,) Ba (the dark blue one,) and... Ping? PING?! Look, I know I didn't copyright the name, but it still feels weird to see my robot girl's name applied to such a weird, organic critter.Oh yeah, and there are four more that aren't shown in this picture. According to the Teletubbies Wiki, the ones not shown are Mimi (sky blue), RuRu (orange), Nin (purple) and Duggle Dee (red). Oh dear. Why Duggle Dee, of all things? That sounds like a friggin' Kirby enemy, not a Teletubbies character! And why do some of them look identical to the main characters?!
I'm done ranting, this has just been bugging me since yesterday.

Honestly, I think "Umpie Pumpie" is the worst name of the lot. It sounds vulgar.
I hate RuRu, though. He never stops belching out "ROO ROO!" whenever he's on screen.

The funny thing is that I've always loved Teletubbies in a peculiar way. There's an irresistible strangeness of it all that always makes me laugh (whether or not it was intended) and it's oddly effective as a children's show. My brother and I used to watch it and come up with all sorts of hilarious theories about the "true story" of Teletubby land.
The Tiddlytubbies, though, are a different story. Those things are the spawn of Satan and they appear in nearly every episode. The show might as well just be called Tiddlytubbies at this point.
