Description
Sort of a reimagination of another one of my drawings. I don't know why I like drawing the light from fireflies, but its relaxing oddly.EDIT:

Wow! Just wow! Featured on the EQD Drawfriend and the head for the Nightly Roundup in the same say. Feels great.
Also, I guess this one will become one of my prints for Bronycon.

I love it when an artist draws ponies with thick hooves. I dunno why, I just love it. Like, it must be really comfortable for them to walk around in.

This is such a peaceful and beautiful piece that resonates with the character ina wonderful way! I love how you gave her a sort of vulnerable and carefree side by using subtle elements such as the lovely lighting and shading contrast! I love your use of value! The way you have the light emanate from the fireflies and spill onto Luna is beautiful. The soft yellow glow from the fireflies is very relaxing, and I think I know why.
The light is yellow, a warm color. Though yellow generally creates a feeling of energy or power, it also creates a feeling of gentle warmth which is calming. Why is it more calming than energetic? The saturation of the yellow most likely. It also has hints of blue mixed in. Blue creates a calming effect. The combination of cool colored Luna and soft warm colored lights is very relaxing, especially in this nighttime environment. The fireflies are like night lights, which made a lot of us feel safe when we were younger.
