I just Became a deviant yesterday, and am very new to digital photography and computers so I don't really understand the whole critique thing, so I'll just leave my thoughts here. The more I look at this picture , what distracts me in a way is the power line. I would either remove it in photoshop,Β Or add more black lines in other parts of the image, perhaps from the edges to the branches (also straight perhaps , to give more of that leaded glass effect. At first glance, I thought it was a stained glass window, because of the power line, or is it a power line? Or perhaps curved dark lines following the color changes in the sky in the top left corner where the branchesΒ do not reach the edge. For me, the right third of the picture works better, maybe because, I like where my eyes are fooled into thinking it is stained glass. I would love to see future versions of this.

You are absolutely correct that it is a power line through this image.Β It bothered me as well.Β I actually have a later version where I removed it and performed a few additional edits.Β I had not considered the possibility of adding more lines, though.Β Certainly a very interesting idea.Β I also loved hearing your impression of the image of stained glass.Β Β
