Description
I sat down to play around with colours and shapes; eventually I arrived at this.
Once again mostly me playing and practicing with light. The strange little guy on the stone appeared almost on his own to give some sort of focus to the image.This is a quickie, made in some four hours or so. All done from scratch in GIMP under Linux. No references used.
Comments and critique is, as usual, most appreciated.

It's a great pic and the lighting is awesome, makes the image look so grand...even though it only has a tiny little guy in it, lol ^_^ I love his leaf btw, very naturey, kinda makes him look like a...I dunno, mantis? Good camouflage anyway.

Great, as always. I especially like the lighting in this one, with the way pours in through the gaps in the trees.

I use The GIMP, too. I couldn't image myself doing anything from scratch in it.
I like that little guy on the stone. He, the moss-bearded face in the stone, and the "lighting" evoke an almost eerie fantasy-world.

GIMP is a powerful program, but I get the impression relatively few use it for creating original art, which is strange.
