I have yet to deal with this issue, but others have.You can't just take someone's style- that's kinda rude.
The best way to stand out in art is to have your own style, not to copy that of an existing artist and hope to leech off their popularity.
Remember: you are a deviant ARTIST, not a deviant LAMPREY. Don't do that.
Take a look at what other artists are doing- don't copy them, but learn from them, and incorporate elements of their style into your own.
Eventually, this amalgamation will result in your own style, unique to you. ^^
And it's alright to be unsure of your style- EVERYONE's been there. Just keep experimenting- you'll find something you like soon enough. ^^
Just be patient, and keep drawing. ^^
