Just dig around or you can follow it, sometimes it leads into caves sometimes not ^^

I had that problem too. Try disabling the antivirus long enough to start the game. That's what worked for me until 1.8 came out. Now I don't worry about it.

Though my first minecraft day was epic
I was hiting trees when it started getting dark, I paniced (gosh I swer I was like a mole) I started digging under me and then infront,making a small little cave to spend the night xD
I didnt know how each monster sounded like so when I heard a shhht (spider idk!!) I tought it was a creeper!
I was scared to death to go out!!! xD
