GOD DARNIT. :'D Say hello to my new character....among the hundreds that I already have..Chalk inspired creature xD, you can draw on his/her body aswell with chalk, because the whole body is chalkboard texture... xD I DUNNO. RANDOM.

You legally cannot make this a "closed species" without a patent. You can claim original rights to the artwork depicting the species, but the concept itself you cannot without the proper legal documents.

The wayΒ I drew this creature pluss all its features together is my idea. If your thinking of the drawing on a character being not allowed to use that is not what a closed species means, or all the other features used some way or another mixed into something else.
Even if you are correct with you cannot do something like that, copying someones character 100 prosent no matter what is pretty rude and disrespectfull.

You can't copyright a method of drawing something either? I think that's what you're trying to say. While it's illegal to reproduce/take an image and republish it as your own, the methods that went into drawing the creature aren't copyrighted.
What do you mean "even if"? It's a straight out fact that you cannot claim a species to be closed unless you have the paperwork and legal work behind you to back it up.

I literally cannot understand your grammar so I'm grasping at straws at this point as to what you're trying to communicate to me. Given English is not your native language, I don't blame you, but still, I cannot understand what you just said. I've seen you write better than this, if you really want to try and make a point, try harder next time in your writing, alright? It helps me understand what point you're trying to convey, and you communicate better.

to me it seems like you are overreacting over something not needing to be over reacted by.
The only thing that is closed is my character and the way I drew it with all its elements put together. There are 100 thousand ways to make a similar concept without it being 100 prosent a carbon copy of the one I did or a recolor for that matter. And yes there are idiots on the internett, and when we upload things we just have to sit and hope most of them are respectfull.
And if you are unsure about soemthing, ask instead. Its not my fault your trying to see this as something its not.

Like I said, recoloring an image is copyright infringement, but you cannot claim to have the rights to a species without the proper paperwork. You said "it's a closed species", which is incorrect.

Taking time and reading rules of copyright/trademarksΒ over and discussing it with more people, even if those who disagree with you are far greater than those who agree, you are right. I guess its all up to morals and respect. Just because a car is unlocked, does not mean its ok to go steal it because it was not protected.Β I am however glad to see most people respect other peoples design choises, and atleast makes an effort in changing a few things if they want to copy the design.

Big big diffrence, this is not a dog, and the design is completely diffrent, you cannot claim one feature, you can only claim all of the things you chose and put them together. I have not claimed drawing on a character as my idea, but how this character looks/ its features together is what is mine nothing else. So if you want to go ahead and make a horse you draw chalk on xD I couldnt care less.
