yay I designed some characters of the new creatures in finnadyria -> griffsnuff.deviantart.com/jourβ¦From left to right
munch the Dovakhan, lav the Charadim, Elizabeth the Flintmaw, Fungi the Finnedyr, Syrup The Cranns which has a Cloopie pet named Petal.
I wanted to keep pink in them all

My favorite has to be Lav! She's so pretty and what's that on her back, a sort of colored moss / fungi? GORGEOUS.
EEEE And I really love Syrup too! Cranns and Charadim are so creative, as are the rest of the entries!!

Don't give up! Just because you didn't place doesn't mean that your species wasn't great (which they were, totally love them) You just have to keep trying - I didn't place either, but that doesn't mean that I'm giving up my hope for winning contests! >V< All we can do is keep trying, right? I mean, you can't win every contest, but you can buck up and try your darnedest!

Hey, that's alright! I never won a single contest until this past year or so, and I still lose a lot of the time. I think you've got the potential to win.
And jeeze, are people rude or what? Don't let 'em get to you; I was taunted for my art work a lot too, but that didn't stop me and now I'm really happy with my art. You just got to draw for yourself and wait to find the people who'll appreciate your art for what it is. I think you've got a really lovable style, myself.

-sighs- I never really participate in many contests anyway.
Β it's more of this matter: It's really easy for me to draw felines; flick of the wrist and bam a cat. But everyone calls me cat lady and thinks I have no inteligeince at all- and all I do is draw! I'm fed up with it.

Yeah, I tend to ignore them, but every once in a while I'll join in.
And I had a similar way of doing things a few years back, but with dragons. I would sketch them everywhere and my old classmates would call me the 'dragon girl.' Unfortunately, it wasn't very fun to be pointed out as such at that school, and usually I would be shunned or laughed at; I was different than all my other classmates and friends and was revered as "the freaky, fantasy crazed girl who should be avoided-" for Ten Years.
Β You can't let them get to you - all I do is draw, all day, all night, whenever my life allows me time I go and start drawing and I never let them stop me from drawing how and what I wanted, and you know what? I've never regretted it. You're in a rough point in your artistic life, but if you get through it, I'm sure you won't regret it either.

Just ignore them if they've got a problem with your art - it's not like you have to let them rule your life. If you practice, you'll improve, and if you take the time to want to give a damn, then they have no right to tell you you're wrong. I believe you can do it, so just don't give up, okay? 0v0
