Use gimp to make the background transparent, by clicking the background layer and using the eraser to erase the background. If you don't have gimp then DAmuro can help. Erase the background layer. I hope this helped, more questions just ask me. ^-^

No, seriously. Do you use an editor or paint?

I'm not sure exactly what she used, but I usually use photoshop elements while coloring pixel art, but I think pretty much any other editor should work. (Paint Tool SAI and normal photoshop have worked fine for me)

Can you edit this on paint, and still have the background transparent?

griffsnuff In reply to moonfeather8 [2013-06-01 13:30:05 +0000 UTC]
you can edit it but to remove the background again you need to do that on iaza.com

after you coloured it in paint (MAKE SURE THE BACKGROUND IS ONE SOLID COLOUR!) go to iaza.com, upload your image there, go to transparent(i think, maybe its translucent) and click on the background colour and resave the picture then upload to dA or use it for your icon.
This should work
