Here are some sketches from the past few weeks.

A few comments...

-The big grumpy fellow there is Paolo's half-brother Lorenzo. He's a chef who works at a pastry shop downtown that used to be a front for mob activity, but is now, alas, just a pastry shop...even though some of the employees are relics from that more exciting time. He cares about food in the same way that Paolo cares about art and is utterly appalled at his brother's horrifying dietary choices. Despite the fact that he's an enormous, scary-looking dude with a big booming voice, he likes nothing better than putting fancy piping on cupcakes.

-The adorable menace with wings is Corny's character Denise. [link]
She is usually much more menacing than I've depicted her.

-Gwen and Emile at eight. I was going to do that age meme that's been floating around, but my laziness has prevented me from finishing. I thought Gwen was kinda cute here.

-Behold said horrifying dietary habits. Emile does not eat breakfast at all. He just drinks coffee (no milk, no sugar, sometimes liquor). Paolo eats pretty much nothing but carbohydrates (usually in muffin form) and is developing a bit of a gut. This is really not acceptable for a cat burgular, as Emile is more than willing to remind him.

-Azevedo helps pay for veterinary school by playing wheelman for Emile's crew. As soon as Emile discovered this, he decided that it was no longer necessary to pay for an actual people doctor with a degree and experience. Azevedo would usually be too decent a person to accept this arrangement, but it provides plenty of practice for him and he's not one to complain. Besides, he doesn't have to take as much care with Emile and Paolo as he would your typical family pet.
