What a wonderful piece you have here! I'm very impressed with the coloring scheme. The brush strokes are well executed and give the sky a believable "roughness" where the clouds are. It looks chaotic, yet not overly so. The gradient change between the myriad of colors is appealing and extraordinarily developed. I get a feeling of wind and air currents. The mixing tones of blue and white really place me into the image with ease. Little is left to the imagination with the way you have captured the background.
The main focus of the image is placed in such a manner that I understand wholly that I am looking up from far below. I feel the center of focus is a slightly disputed over by the two characters in this image, but it isn't an issue that takes away too much from the awe. The dragon is done marvelously--I can't stop looking over its beautiful anatomy. It dominates a large portion of the picture, and that is why it demands a lot of attention initially. However, it is low enough in the portrait that the dragon does not entirely command all the focus. Speaking on in terms of anatomy, it appears the human did not receive as much time and energy as the dragon. His arms seem disproportionate to each other, his feet are different sizes, and his chest seems awkwardly bulky. Yet that is a highly anal observation, as the distance you place your audience at is far enough that these details would rationally seem unbalanced.
In all, I'm in love with this piece. Congratulations on a amazing creation, and I can't wait to see more from you in the future!
