2014 is supposedly the year of Sailor Moon's return to anime so I wanted to do at least one piece of fan art in honor of that. Like many anime fans in the US and or around the world, I think Sailor Moon probably started it all for them when local TV stations broadcasted it. I still remember the days when I'd have to run to school just to make it in time because UPN 57 would show episodes each weekday morning right around the time I normally left to walk to school.
But anyway, here's my take on my favorite of the inner senshi - Sailor Jupiter! It was a toss up between her and Mercury of whom I wanted to draw so I may have to do Mercury too... hell, I might do all the inner senshi for a complete set. I'll put a poll up to see what people think.
Sailor Moon also helped inspire me to start drawing. I wish I still had some of my older sketches to compare with what I can do today. It'd be fun to see how far I've come from those day.

Thanks! Manga Studio 5 really has a great set of default brushes which has really been a huge time saver. Doing hair like this would have taken forever and would be really different the old way!

Sailor Juptier is my favorite Sailor Senshi and Sailor Moon was my frist anime seires.

LOL! Well, I have to say each of them certainly have some sizable talent but Mako/Lita is definitely the most "talented" one of the bunch

Fair enough, after all they do stick out from most of the girls around their age. I mean look at Naru and look at Usgai. One of them looks like a 14 year old, the other looks like she get got left back 4 years within middle school, which given Usgai's grades, isn't that hard to believe.
Those bodies easily say 18, i mean do they look 14 ?Nope,Makoto especially looks the oldest of the group despite being the younest by date of brith .

For me, it started with Ranma ½. -Then- came Sailor Moon.

I didn't find out about Ranma 1/2 until after. I was actually exposed to Ranma with a SNES fighting game. I remember playing as Shampoo a lot when I played it. Good times!
