Description
We'll need:-paper(watercolor paper is recommended)
-pen/artpen (it would be nice if we had something waterproof for first 4 steps)
-watercolors (here brown, red, yellow and dark blue)
-salt (for sky and shaded parts)
-a lot of patience

Oh yeah. I also drink brush water from time to time and put my brushes into cup of tea accidentaly. The worst thing is putting a pen into brush water because the pen stops working after that...

70x50 cm? Wow that's rather big! Everytime I work on watercolors that big, everything just turns into one big mess xD.
Nice to see your technique! I'm also a fan of ink+watercolors. That's actually what most attracted me to your art, I love that it looks more contrasted. But when I do it it looks like one of those drawings meant for kids to draw xD So static, I hate it! xD It was worse before, now it's not so terrible. I don't have anything decent in watercolor in my gallery, I'll make sure I upload... something xD.
Great tutorial, I love the little bit of sarcasm in it

Thank you!
Indeed working on big format paper can be troublesome at first but it gives the opportunity to draw more detailed works. Now I feel just strange when I have to draw something on A3 or A4 size

Great tutorial! I have some watercolours in the back of a cupboard at home so I might take them out and try something with them!
(btw your gallery is AMAZING and you're too modest for your own good.)

Oh, I forgot to mention it, but I found your dA site through this tutorial, which a friend of mine had in her favorites. I was really impressed with how thorough you were in outlining your steps. I'm in the baby stages of learning how to use watercolors now, so it's been helpful seeing how other people use it in their own work.
Thanks for posting the tutorial!

The title is absolutely perfect. Except I never felt like I've wasted time when I paint...maybe because I only get around to it except every couple of months...but now I feel inspired to go draw buildings. Thanks!
