She's finally finished xD...and her design has actually changed a lot since I drew this xD. But hey! It's good to get all of your designs on paper right? Otherwise you can't decide how much you like them or if you want to change them. < The bottom left picture is what I'm thinking now, at least hair wise...that said, she'll still wear it in a braid for battles, sooo....this isn't completely pointless .

I actually LOVE the cape! it was something I decided to try out on a whim! I bought a white gel pen to try something else, and suddenly got the idea to give her a night sky cape . I also used my silver fineliner, but I don't know if that's shown up on the scan . The reason I kept the shading on the cape very minimal is because I'm thinking that maybe she uses it to camouflage herself...it's basically a cape 'made out of' the night sky xD, it's enchanted, almost like Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, only it only works with the night sky as a backdrop . I don't know if that makes a lot of sense ...but I know what I mean . Apollo will probably have a daytime version of this xD, when I eventually get around to drawing him :') poor boy, I'm always neglecting him for his sister! But I keep getting ideas for Arty! I know that Apollo's time will come though , then I'll neglect his sister so I don't feel too bad! Don't think there's much else to add...enjoy!

All inked . I made an error with the bow and arrow, as you can see...but it kind of worked out, because it gave me the idea of making them purposely transparent, like they're made out of crystal or something *I'm too tired to try and explain things eloquently right now x'D* She's a magical character so, why not? ^.^

Also, there are a bunch of things I want to change about her costume now I've inked this, so I'll work on that the next time I draw her ^^.

The first picture I've ever drawn of my OC Artemis xD. I'm still not 100% settled on this design, because I've had SO many ideas about her appearance, that I think I need to try a few more out before I'm content xD. For example, usually she wear her hair down, except for battle when she has her hair in a braid...like this xD. I also forgot to sketch the arrow (ignore that xD I'll add it before I ink...hopefully!).

When I first imagined her, I pictured her in a huge cloak that conceals her completely...so that's why I drew such a giant cape xD. Then I pictured her wearing something cowboy-esque, with a cowboy hat, boots, long flowing hair, bandanna around her face, that look....which I'm still fond of xD so I'll try that next. This is a look I only pictured her with today for the first time, surprisingly xD. I was going to make her part of my Witch Witch Destiny story (because ALL of my OCs link to that story, or at least the universe in which it takes place xD). She wouldn't be a present day character, but rather a character from the past, so I felt that the cowboy look would jar a little with the medieval setting ..so I took inspiration from the Greek roots of her name, and tried this!

Her story is this-
When the magical world first established a governing body, the powerful queen of the witches used magic to make day and night happen. She controlled whether or not the sun would set or rise, and could essentially create one never-ending day if she chose to neglect the duty of bringing night about. Demeter, the first Queen of the witches was unfortunate enough to discover that her husband had cheated on her with another young witch named Leto, and Leto bore twins Artemis and Apollo. The Queen allowed the children to grow, and both became very close, and very powerful sorcerers in their own right. When they grew to adulthood, the Queen summoned both of them to her castle where she decided on a suitable punishment for their parents sin. She made them the new guardians of day and night, bestowing Apollo with the power to command the sun and bring day to the world, and naturally Artemis was given power over the moon and stars to bring night. In some ways it was a position of honour and trust. Both would gain immortality, and their powers grew with this new responsibility. However, the price they paid for this was that they would never be able to see one another again, Artemis was forbidden to remain out in the open during the day, and Apollo faced this same restriction at night. After decades of experimenting, they found that sometimes they were able to see one another briefly at the crossover times, dawn and twilight, but never long enough to have a conversation or really communicate in any way.

That's my story for them so far xD...maybe. I'm workin' on it . I think they MAY be able to communicate with humans....I'm not sure yet, obviously I still have a lot to work out .

Artemis is argumentative and grumpy a lot of the time. She blames her mother for the position she and her twin have been placed in, but if anyone were to breach the subject with her she would deny this completely. Deep down, she does have a good heart. She loves Apollo dearly, even if she would never say it, and that's at the heart of her anger towards her mother, that she misses her twin. Despite hating the fact she has been forced to become the guardian of the night, she does enjoy her job, finding the moon and the stars beautiful. Both twins are also in charge of certain seasonal changes, so she's the one who creates frost at night in the winter.

Anyway, I've rambled enough xD...Sorry for the huge wall of text!
