The Basics

I'm a woman, isn't that obvious?

2. What is your full name?
Queen Seraphina (think of a last name )

3. Does your name have a meaning?
It means 'fiery winged' or 'burning one' and is derived from the Bible to depict the angels that surrounded God's throne. Quite fitting for someone like me, as I am an eternal fire that will never burn out.

4. Do you have a nickname?
No, every syllable of my name is significant, I wouldn't sully it by shortening it or claiming a new name for myself.

5. What race or species are you?
I am an incredibly powerful witch, destined to be queen.
(Over the years, she's actually acquired some of the characteristics of other species, as she's manipulated them and found ways to take these into herself. I'm still working on this ability, so bare with me )

6. So how old are you?
Don't you know that it's rude to ask a woman her age?
(She's hundreds of years old, perhaps thousands, again, I'm still working on the timeline of the story, so this is a WIP, but she is very old xD)

7. How old do you appear to be physically? (E.g. A vampire may appear to be 20 but they may really be 200)
Why don't you tell me? How old do you think I am? Hmm? Don't be afraid to guess, I won't bite if you're wrong.

Well I've lived this long, haven't I?
(She does xD most witches have a slightly longer lifespan than humans, but not significantly. Seraphina, of course, is a special exception to this rule due to her interest in dark magic.)

I don't wish to disclose this information. (She is more of less immortal xD. Still working on this aspect of her character!)

10. When is your birthday?
December 9th, I expect you to send me a gift.

I believe it's Sagittarius, the archer, is it not?

13. What is your birthstone?
I am lucky enough to have three, Zircon, Tanzanite and Turquoise. Rather pretty things I suppose, though I would prefer ruby.

We did not have 'blood types' in my day, so I would have no idea. (It's A- xD...as her creator, I am all knowing! OWO)

15. What is your nationality?
(This is a really difficult one to answer, because in my story the world is separated into different species ...she doesn't exactly HAVE a nationality xD. She would probably have an unclear accent...the kind you can't quite place, because she doesn't stay in one place for very long. I think she would be a typical 'English villain', very posh, but perhaps with a hint of something exotic? I need to develop this xD)

16. What is your ethnicity?
I am Caucasian.

17. Where do you currently live?
Hmm, I don't feel like sharing this. You're starting to bore me now. (It's a secret ^.~)

18. What is your place in society? (E.g. Poor, rich, middle class, royalty, etc.)
I would say that I am in the upper class category. (She's accumulated a lot of wealth, being alive for so long )

Well, I am currently living in the twenty first century. (She's been around for MUCH longer though.)

20. Do you have a rank or title? (General, Queen, Duke, Doctor, etc.)
Why yes, I must be longest reigning monarch in the world, even if it has not been acknowledged or not. (I haven't QUITE decided the details of this xD...She WAS going to be queen, that much is true.)

Is this any of your business? (No, she doesn't )
Appearance
22. What is your natural hair colour?
I believe it is what one would describe as 'golden blonde'. (The ends of her hair are a little bit lighter though :3)

23. Do you dye your hair a different colour?
Certainly not. (She's a witch, so if she wants to change her appearance, she'll use magic. She doesn't believe in human creations like this . She probably has changed her hair colour over the centuries though, but with magic.)

24. How long is your hair?
Currently, it is floor length. I may cut it though, it does get in my way.

25. What style do you wear your hair in most of the time? (Ponytail, pigtails, spiked up, etc.)
I leave my hair as it is most of the time.

26. What colour are your eyes?
Dark brown.

27. Do your eyes have any special properties? (Like flashing, changing colour with their mood, the ability to control people) No, but colour changing eyes are a rather interesting notion. (Please don't give her ideas -.-')

Now that you mention it, my lips are rather thin. I am eternally thankful for the creation of makeup.

My nose is perfectly straight, thank you very much! (Though it is noticeably quite narrow xD, and she hates it.)

Why does this matter? (She has quite a thin face with prominent cheekbones.)

I do actually, do you know that my kind actually created this form of jewellery? (She has ear piercings.)

170 centimetres tall, or 5'7".

35. Are you overweight, underweight, or an ideal weight?
Medically, I have no idea. Personally, I'm quite sure I'm the ideal weight.

36. Would you mind telling me what you weigh?
Actually, I would mind.

37. Is there anything noticeable about your posture? (Slouching, standing up very straight.)
(When she was a young woman, she was actually training to become the next queen, as such, she's gotten into the habit of standing up very straight. Also, if she's talking to someone, she's in the bad habit of only moving her eyes to look at them, rather than actually turning her head and body to face and engage with them. This often makes it look like she's not interested in what someone is saying, or that she is looking down at them...she probably is ...but she does this even if she isn't.)

If the mood takes me. (Reds, golds, blacks and purples are her favourites )

Not that I am aware of.

I'm rather fond of long dresses, particularly gorgeous gowns. Maxi dresses if I'm feeling casual. I've recently developed a liking for business suits as well. I am particularly partial to dark reds.

Regal, perhaps? Powerful.

Yes, I like to enhance my natural beauty. (She likes lipsticks and eye shadows, but her favourite makeup is for contouring.)

I do, particularly jewellery featuring rubies. (Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, the works xD...not all at once, but she has a pretty big collection.)

I generally choose to channel my abilities through my own body, however, from time to time I choose to use weapons. Staffs, wands, even a scythe or two. It is whatever I am fond of at the time.

Shall I show you? (She's one of the most powerful witches to ever exist. She didn't start out that way, but she has spent centuries accumulating this power. She possesses all the abilities of a basic witch, but she's found ways to manipulate and expand these. As such, her power is actually very unstable, which can be both an advantage and a hindrance to her. Her age also means that she's had a lot of time to develop her skills. Her potion making, however, is pitifully poor, and she's never really developed a knack for it, mainly because she has her sister to make potions for her.)

55. Did someone teach you how to use your powers, or were you left to discover them alone?
(She was taught by her mother when she was a young child, as was the custom for all witches when she was young. When she was a little older, the current witch queen at the time took notice of her and took her on as a pupil and continued to teach her more advanced magic. During this time, she also had tutors in different areas as well. However, over the centuries, she has taught herself much, much more, through books, as well as trial and error.)

(She is actually very superstitious. Witches relied a lot on superstitions in her day, and even though she's managed to shed some of these old beliefs, they're deeply rooted in her.)

Actually, I do. I believe that we should return to the monarchy we had all those centuries ago, when an all powerful witch was the sole monarch who governed everything.

People see me as a villain...but in my heart, I know that I am the hero. If they would only give me a chance, I would prove this to them! (She's actually the villain of the story, if you didn't know that by now xD. But she genuinely believes she's doing the right thing. She's not just 'evil for the sake of being evil')

I think that it is very much down to the individual. I do not believe you have to marry first though.

I think my view has changed very much over the years. I used to believe that marriage should come first, but time has changed this view.

There is nothing after death. That is why I choose to live forever.

What an ugly question to ask! (She probably has...or if she hasn't done it personally, she's asked other people to do it for her.)

I do not believe in 'murder' sometimes, lives must be sacrificed for the greater good though. I do not believe that is murder.

No, never violent.

Certainly not.

I would say I am optimistic.

Perhaps somewhere in between? I would say that I am reserved, but never shy.

Not vain. I care about my appearance, but I do not feel that makes me vain.

Clearly you do not understand the meaning of 'secrets'. (She has a lot, actually. To do with her community, her family and her sister.)

No, I don't have time to be depressed. I refuse to sit around and mope.

Of course not.

It is the norm to me, in my time, we did not even have a word for it, it merely existed as 'heterosexuality' did.

Not at all.

I follow the rules if I think they are fair and relevant. If they do not seem justifiable, then I will do what needs to be done.

The latter, most definitely. I would never allow anyone to control me.

(BADLY. She has a nasty temper in situations like these xD)

Is anyone truly one or the other? I suppose, in a sense, I lie a great deal in order to live undetected amongst humans. (It really depends on the situation. She can be brutally honest, but she'll also lie if it's in her best interests.)

I wouldn't say I'm suspicious...merely careful. (She's very suspicious of new people, though she won't let on.)

Well that depends on who you are. (Only if you're on her good side xD. Generally...no.)

Hmm. This is a rather interesting question. I have always been in a monogamous relationship, but if the opportunity arose, I may try polygamy.

What an ignorant question. (Where she comes from, sexuality isn't really a concept...you kind of do just...love who you love. Heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality all exist, but they aren't acknowledged as such? Someone could fall in love with almost anyone at any time, and it was just kind of...accepted xD)

I suppose...in a sense. (It's kind of like 'friends with benefits' almost, but she wouldn't say this xD)

We're old friends. (He's actually her familiar. He retains a human form though, and has done for most of his life. They met when Seraphina went to choose her familiar from a litter of kittens.)

(Hearts were broken...just not Seraphina's )

He is reliable, trustworthy, quiet and serious. He also knows how I am feeling without me having to vocalize it. We are linked in many ways.

I've given him the power to retain his human form, forever. This usually takes a great deal of skill and energy for a familiar.(Actually, he loves her strong will, her intelligence, her beauty, drive and resilience.)

No, it is one of the few things I have not done, and do not wish to do.

Oh yes. (The relationship with her familiar was pretty forbidden :/)

(Witches and familiars aren't supposed to have romantic relationships, it's just taboo. A familiar and a witch's souls are connected, and so it's sort of a violation of nature, and a violation of your own soul to be romantically involved.)

I suppose I was, in a sense. (The queen who chose Seraphina as her air TECHNICALLY took her on as a daughter in some aspects, so it could be considered a kind of adoption, though she still saw her parents regularly.)

Indeed, they all possess magical abilities.

How should I know? I would like to think that they see a powerful and beautiful woman. (People do think she's beautiful, but a little intimidating as well.)

Yes, I am powerful, and I like to think I am rather beautiful.

How petty. (She's not really in a position where she can be any of these things really xD. When she was younger, she was unpopular because she spent all of her time studying, and this used to bother her more than she let on. When she got older though, she became quite popular as next in line for the throne, for her abilities as a witch, and her looks didn't hurt matters.)

118. Are you ever bullied or looked down on by another person or a certain group of people?
There is a young witch and her companions who believe my views are wrong, I am not sure that they 'look down' on me though. (As a child she was picked on for being quiet and studious.)

If anything, I look down on them. They are a nuisance.

No, I do not. (Her familiar is TECHNICALLY a pet...since he was originally a cat...but he's not really a pet anymore . Familiars are never really pets, the bond with their master is much deeper than that.)

(Yes, even when he was a cat, they were able to communicate verbally, and as their bond grew, they were able to communicate telepathically.)

Damien is. (Damien is her familiar, by the way xD)

I am his mistress, it is natural for a familiar to be protective. (It's a familiar's duty to protect their mistress, but he also loves her dearly.)

No, there is no one. (This isn't true. She is actually very protective of Damien, because she secretly loves him just as much as he loves her, but she would never admit it. Also, she is protective of her sister, but for reasons I won't write about just now.)

Abilities

122. Do you have any non-magical talents or abilities? (such as drawing, running, dancing)
I'm good at everything, of course. (This isn't true xD. She doesn't like to 'waste her time' with things that humans would do . She's a very good dancer, however, and really enjoys different forms of dance.)

(Only magical. Her physical combat is seriously lacking. She ever bothered to develop this.)

(MAGIC xD)

None that I am willing to share. (I think I've mentioned all of her unusual strengths...she's pretty much immortal, and posses powers that no normal witch would.)

(It's due to centuries of manipulating others, testing her abilities and developing her skills.)

Past

(She was born in a little village that was part of the reigning queen's kingdom.)

Certainly not!

Not really. (The Queen who trained her.)

(Not so much now, she lost a lot of faith in her mentor.)

In a sense, though I have never died and been reborn, I have only lived for an incredibly long time.

Yes. There are times that I do not remember so well, but I remember my time growing up, as it was such a defining period in my life. (There are huge chunks of time that she simply cannot remember, maybe even centuries. It's one of the downsides of being immortal. This is actually something that frightens her.)

130b. If you could, would you return to that life?
Perhaps, if I felt that I could make a difference.

(Working on this as I develop the plot xD)

132. Give me your back story if you like!
(She was born an obscenely long time ago, in a time and place where everyone was born with powers of some kind, and humans didn't exist. She was born to a pretty average family. Her mother was a healer witch, and her father brewed medicinal potions. They were perhaps a little wealthier than most witch families, but that was purely due to the fact that they provided a service that a doctor would nowadays, and so the volume of customers they had was pretty high. Seraphina was initially taught by her parents, as all children were in those days. As it was, Seraphina seemed to have a natural gift and excelled in her studies, impressing the other children in the village as well as her own parents. The reigning Queen at the time took notice of her, and decided to take her on as an heir, as was the custom for monarchs at the time. Seraphina moved into the castle with the Queen, training with her and a number of tutors in order to develop her skills in all areas. However, a few years later, Seraphina's younger sister, Adina, began to exhibit similar abilities, often excelling in areas that Seraphina did not. As such, the Queen decided to train both sisters. Seraphina was naturally gifted, and as such did not always work as hard as she should. She grew accustomed to the praise and admiration of others, and began to get lazy. Adina, on the other hand, was a fairly average witch, not really gifted in anything other than potion making, her abilities came from determination, hard work and study. As Adina caught up to her older sister, Seraphina began to see her as a threat, and this put a lot of pressure on the relationship between the sisters. At the age of sixteen, Seraphina was allowed to take a familiar, and formed an instant connection with a cat she named Damien. I won't say much more for now, but it was around this time that things began to change drastically.)

No, when I was a child we didn't have such a thing as school. We were tutored by our parents, and if we were skilled enough in a certain area, a master of that area would take us on as their apprentice.

History I believe, there were some truly fascinating stories about our ancestors. Particularly about the first witches to roman the earth.

133b. What is/was your least favourite subject?
Potion brewing. You have to be incredibly precise when it comes to measurements, and I simply haven't the patience for it.

133c. What is/was your best subject?
I was good at everything. (Well...almost...)

133d. What is/was your worst subject?
Potion brewing, naturally. Still, it isn't a vital skill.

134. What is your favourite meal?
Poached salmon is a favourite of mine, Damien cooks it beautifully.

Chocolate truffles are a guilty pleasure, particularly those flavoured with coffee.

I do, though not that often. I dislike the flavour of a lot of it, and can't stomach it unless it's sweet.

I see no reason to answer this. (Yes, yes she has xD.)

(No, she likes to remain in control, so doesn't make a habit of it.)

I know it is traditionally a Christmas drink, but I do like mulled wine.

Any bitter tasting alcohol.

Dark red, it's a very regal colour.

I like anything to do with mythology, particularly the mythology of witches.

I have little interest in music, I find it distracting and irritating.

Those CGI animations movies. They're rather unsettling if you ask me.

Oh no, I find board games tiresome. I might like to try computer games though.

It means 'fiery winged' or 'burning one' and is derived from the Bible to depict the angels that surrounded God's throne. Quite fitting for someone like me, as I am an eternal fire that will never burn out.

No, every syllable of my name is significant, I wouldn't sully it by shortening it or claiming a new name for myself.

I am an incredibly powerful witch, destined to be queen.
(Over the years, she's actually acquired some of the characteristics of other species, as she's manipulated them and found ways to take these into herself. I'm still working on this ability, so bare with me )

This often makes it look like she's not interested in what someone is saying, or that she is looking down at them...she probably is ...but she does this even if she isn't.)

Shall I show you? (She's one of the most powerful witches to ever exist. She didn't start out that way, but she has spent centuries accumulating this power. She possesses all the abilities of a basic witch, but she's found ways to manipulate and expand these. As such, her power is actually very unstable, which can be both an advantage and a hindrance to her. Her age also means that she's had a lot of time to develop her skills. Her potion making, however, is pitifully poor, and she's never really developed a knack for it, mainly because she has her sister to make potions for her.)

(She was taught by her mother when she was a young child, as was the custom for all witches when she was young. (There are huge chunks of time that she simply cannot remember, maybe even centuries. It's one of the downsides of being immortal. This is actually something that frightens her.)

(She was born an obscenely long time ago, in a time and place where everyone was born with powers of some kind, and humans didn't exist. She was born to a pretty average family. Her mother was a healer witch, and her father brewed medicinal potions. They were perhaps a little wealthier than most witch families, but that was purely due to the fact that they provided a service that a doctor would nowadays, and so the volume of customers they had was pretty high. Seraphina was initially taught by her parents, as all children were in those days. As it was, Seraphina seemed to have a natural gift and excelled in her studies, impressing the other children in the village as well as her own parents. The reigning Queen at the time took notice of her, and decided to take her on as an heir, as was the custom for monarchs at the time. Seraphina moved into the castle with the Queen, training with her and a number of tutors in order to develop her skills in all areas. However, a few years later, Seraphina's younger sister, Adina, began to exhibit similar abilities, often excelling in areas that Seraphina did not. As such, the Queen decided to train both sisters. Seraphina was naturally gifted, and as such did not always work as hard as she should. She grew accustomed to the praise and admiration of others, and began to get lazy. Adina, on the other hand, was a fairly average witch, not really gifted in anything other than potion making, her abilities came from determination, hard work and study. As Adina caught up to her older sister, Seraphina began to see her as a threat, and this put a lot of pressure on the relationship between the sisters. No, when I was a child we didn't have such a thing as school. We were tutored by our parents, and if we were skilled enough in a certain area, a master of that area would take us on as their apprentice.

History I believe, there were some truly fascinating stories about our ancestors. Particularly about the first witches to roman the earth.

Potion brewing. You have to be incredibly precise when it comes to measurements, and I simply haven't the patience for it.

I was good at everything. (Well...almost...)

She's changed a bit, and she'll probably continue to change xD. I think she's SLOWLY becoming more of a human being, rather than just...'the antagonist' I don't want her to be bad for the sake of being bad, I want her to have her reasons, and to truly believe that what she's doing is the right thing.

I think we share the same dry sense of humour, so we'd either clash, or get on like a house on fire!
