pretty much how I do grass too :3 getting all the random different colors in the first steps is the most important part!

not too random tho! xD I don't like how it looks when the contrast between the different shades is too big D:

I like when the light comes pretty yellow on some parts of the grass, and in some styles I like pretty harsh contrast, but yeah if the difference is too big it looks weird.

ahhh you really don't need to be afraid of me, I don't bite often ;D
and my lineart settings are the same as the one of the sketch brush, only difference: size is always either 8,10 or 12 (depending on canvas size)
and density/poactiy is always on 94 ^^
