Ah yes, I think I've seen this one pass by before and I still really like it. The concept is excellent, as well as the technique. Even though (and I notice this only now) that we can see the edge of the glass if we look very carefully. I was under the impression that you set this shot up, but I suppose seeing the facet for what it was, at the moment really counts for something.

I love the way the lemon looks, the warm colors and interesting subject matter just adds to the over all appeal to this. I think I could stare into it for hours.. I want to make this my wallpaper

I just put a very thin slice of lemon on a glass and placed a halogen desk light behind it.
I upped the contrast just a little, everything else is just the luck of the shot.
