My first thought when I saw this was of how my students were right that a kiwi fruit resembled a histological section of the seminiferous tubules in the testes. (Sorry, I'm a nerd!) Very cool shot, and very well executed.

i read this and laughed...not at u erin but with you as i think thats the weirdest n nerdyish thing i have ever read about a kiwi fruit....to the extent i think they should change the write up of it in the dictionary and put yours

So then the new definition should read, "Kiwi, (kee-wee), noun. A fruit that grows on a vine which, when sectioned, resembles a histological preparation of a transverse section through the human seminiferous tubule." I think that has quite a nice ring to it.
Thanks, that gave me a huge smile.

I went, but it was still flooded. So no ancient, toothy creatures for me.
