Description Alrighty, as said, here is my version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I've sort of mixed between the original book and my own perception of the characters (or should I say character)

Dr Henry Jekyll here is a brilliant scientist with a incredible mind and knowledge of culture. He is very polite and respectable in the eyes of society. However, when it comes to women, he is rather shy and tends to get a little tongue tied.

After taking a potion he created, he unwillingly transforms into his alter ego and dark side, Edward Hyde...I RHYMED! It happens at unexpected (and usually unfortunate) times without the aid of the potion

Edward Hyde, unlike his counterpart, is loud, rude, repulsive and violent. And he likes his whores...(so typically me! )

There may be more of him/them soon. Enjoy!

The original character of Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde (c) Robert Louis Stevenson
This version (c) me

UPDATE, July 2015: As this is the first drawing of two beloved remade characters, they've been moved to scraps. It's nice to look back at how they're evolved…or not.

Yep! Since they're the same person it makes sense.

Thank you very much! And please, be my guest!

Sometimes i just look at things for a second and i didn't notice that Hyde's hair was blonde too...well maybe they were just different shades.

Cool thanks! and while I'm talking about this can we make this an art trade?

In the original tale by Robert Louis Stevenson, Hyde was depicted as short. I tried to stick to the original as well as my own unique twist...

It's brilliant, isn't it? Although I found the ending more shocking than sad...
I did my Literature coursework on Jekyll and Hyde (which cued the obsession), comparing it to another favourite of mine, Dorian Gray.

They're great! I love Hyde's outfit. What's with all the creepy crazy ones having the best sense of style? I sense a little Basil and Ratigan influence in them both, which I think is awesome.

Groovy-Gecko In reply to 13foxywolf666 [2011-07-03 18:44:07 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much!
That is a very good point! Maybe it's because they have the most outrageous personalities which means they need the outfit to match.
Now I think about it, there is some influence of Basil and Ratigan in this! I used Milo from Atlantis for Jekyll (although I haven't seen it...XD)
And thanks again!

Shadowcat-96 [2011-07-02 21:34:36 +0000 UTC]

I like these two. Jekkle is extreemly thin, though that may be in part to his pose, with on foot behin the other he is only half his usual width, and his perfect poisture makes him seem taller and leaner. Yay for book acuracsy! Hyde is a man like any other, a small, ugly, evil man, but a man just the same. I realy like thair poses.

Yeah, very good for Mister Hyde, I am reading the novel in this time, and he is small exactly, lol ^^
You've made a good version of them, I hope you will continue to draw them
Dr Jekyll is very skinny O.o... but cool ^^
Jekyll becomes Hyde and he can sing with his whores : Animal I have Become !!! (Three Days Grace) LOL ^_^

Yeah, for Hyde, it was a mixture of my own interpretation and the original, as for Jekyll, he's kinda more my version (I only recently found out that Jekyll was actually quite a bulky, large guy! )

Pffffft!

When you mentioned Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, I thought you'd use the Hyde design from League of Extraordinary gentlemen. This one's.... Smaller than I expected. x3
I also wonder how he wouldn't lose his hat, y'know, running about an' maiming and whatnot. owo

An' he looks like a squeezeable goblin~! x3
Sorry for the long, annoying comment. :3

Oh yeah, I'm familiar with the LoEG version. In the original novel, he's a midget!
He's probably like one of those characters who always keeps a firm hold on his hat...like Donald Duck.

Heeheeee! Thanks!
And that's not a problem!
