Batman and all related characters are the property of DC Comics.

Looking at the Batman villains that appeared on The Batman, I noticed that the Alice in Wonderland-obsessed Jervis Tetch, alias the Mad Hatter, oddly, wasn't used. I mean, out of the four big villains that TB hasn't used (MH, Two-Face, Ra's al Ghul, and Scarecrow), he doesn't have anything keeping him out of play as far we know. The other three have the Nolan Batman films (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight seemingly keeping them out of play (Joker hasn't been affected, though). So I decided to try my hand at doing a The Batman-ized version of Tetch.

I wanted something that could look like it'd fit in with the first two or three seasons, but still recognizable as the Mad Hatter. I also wanted to dirty him up a bit so he looked like he hasn't seen the sun in a while.

While some of them are not obvious, influences for this depiction came from the following: The Batman Returns and The Batman versions of Penguin, Superman: Doomsday's Toyman, the Ben 10 villains Zombozo and Hex, and The Batman's version of Killer Moth pre-transformation.
