We see here Susan Hitchcock, left, ER nurse and owner of the home, and Shondra Lockwood, right, a US agent who may or may not be on Susan's side, captured by Marie LeClaire, center, part time psychotic and paramour to a professional thief. Susan has something everybody wants and they'll go to any lengths to get it.chris070661 asked me to do an illo of a scene from a story I wrote back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Actually it was 1998, I'd just bought a computer and discovered that word processing software was one of the greatest inventions ever conceived. The story was "The Deadly Disk" [link] which involved poor Susan Hitchcock dodging spies, thieves and psychos because a dying man entrusted her with a cd-rom that could change the world.

Actually, that scene so impressed me for some years, that I couldn't help to fantasize upon a "sequel": Marie's attempted escape from jail.
What a delight to see the Frenchwoman, wearing a wardress uniform, closing her cell door with her devilish smile. And, inside the cell, we have the real lovely wardress, clad in her "regulation" white undies. She's mmmmphing and squirming on the floor, thanks to some torn bedsheets...
(Or perhaps the victim is our pretty Shondra herself: she came to the jail to inquire about Marie's past acts. Eventually the french cat pounced on her, and once again managed to get the upper hand).

As always, nice work, man! I do like the way you did the shading on Shondra, that couldn't have been easy.
And how did she manage to walk in there with no heels on her pumps?

They're low heels. It's just a high bar.
My biggest concern with Shondra was making her too dark. I wanted a real natural African look to her skin, a real deep brown. But she just seemed to disappear and I had to add some white into the light brown highlights to try to make her more visible against the backgrounds.

The scene is really delightful, the key element being the lovely Shondra: some instants before, she had all the assets in hand -and her gun, threatening Marie. By now, after a wonderfully described catfight, she's a mere bound and gagged captive on that chair. With Marie ironically taunting her...
