I wish I could have this as two categories (it's at the Fushimi Inari shrine in Japan). As is, this is definitely my favorite animal picture from the trip. I even got to scritch the cat

Adorable photo! I love the colors and angle - it really compliments the kitty and the mysteriousness of the shrine. I too have been to this shrine in Japan and remember snapping some shots of the cute felines - but none of them posed quite like this little one! Wonderful
