Description
This is my mod of the new theme from microsoft called "Royale"Differences from original are:
1. Compact Startmenu
2. Caption Bars are 21 pixles instead of 25
3. Thin Taskbar

Oh my gosh. Funny. I've long since upgraded to Vista. But I have always loved this theme when I used XP. There are some very slight issues I have with it in terms of aesthetics but only if you suffer severe OCD (that's me) would it be an issue.

It is interesting, not only can I not download it, but whenever I, or someone else tries to, it counts that as a download. I clicked on it three times, and it went from 63 downloads today to 66. If anyone else is successfully downloading this, do you think you could sent it to me, or make a link where we can get to it. Would this be ok with grrinder? Grrinder, are you still out there?

Ok I like this stuff, really I do, and I had them on my old computer, however now I have a new one, and I can't redownload them, I'm getting errors, saying it can't be found, and to look on [link] . Useless! Anyone have them somewhere else, or is there a way to fix this. I have tried to download from multiple locations, with more than one computer, what am I doing wrong?

Love the themes, especially the Midnight one. Don't like the compact Start Menu, but I have a feeling it'll grow on me. Also like the more compact taskbar, makes it look like I'm at a higher res, although I like the larger buttons at the top-right of the windows. Keep on truckin'!

I love this!! At first i saw the microsoft royale thing, which was great, then i saw this which has the cool midnight color! One thing, i dunno if i am missing something, but i would like it if the start menu were not compact? is there an option i am missing or do you have to release a new version? thanks!

I guess this is a stupid question, but how do you get this to work? I unzipped it to my C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes folder, but I can't seem to activate it, unlike the regualr Royal theme. Do you need some 3rd part app to make use of this?

I can't seem to get it to apply. All the different colors show up on StyleXP, but I can change it since I'm using the new SP2 update (2162). Is there anyway around this? I really like the compact idea and I like the colors. Thanks!

You would need to apply the uxtheme patch for whatever version of SP2 that you have. Do a google search for it.
