Description
Well, here it is, finally. I started it back in June, got distacted by a computer game, then by a holiday, then by another computer game, then by my girlfriend, then by work...but yes, it's finished now. Once again the detail is missing in the picture because of constraints in file-size, and the tonage has altered because I had to use a flash on my camera to make the lines clear against the paper.I'm off to write a novel now, as part of National Novel Writng Month (go to nanowrimo.org for more info), and hopefully I'll be around after I've done that. Stay safe, peeps.

lol The guy in the middle is actually a character invented for a comic that my friend wrote for me to illustrate, based on another friend of ours. He's called 'Dark Lord Coco' and drives a VW Beetle. But thanks for the SOAD comparison, I'd never even thought of that... lol
And I AM very busy...just not at drawing at the moment, unfortunately.

Congrats for the Daily Deviation... and I think that the camera flash played a lot in your favour: it gives a huge sense of depth.
I'm still confused between deciding if this drawing is as smooth as a bubble, or as complex as the details: nice metaphor for life. >.<

I think the flash helped too, it's just a pity that the sense of depth comes at the expense of some of the contrast. Thank you for your extremely kind words.

This is gorgeous! It's like a cross between manga and Escher-style geometry... I'd love to see the details and try to decipher some sort of story. And I'd definitely buy a print, if you made one available.
BTW, if you're looking for clarity in a digitized version of a large-format image, you could get it scanned at a printer's, though it would cost a bit.

There is no real story there, but the fact that it inspired the thought that there might be fills me with a huge amount of pride.
Good tip on the printer's by the way. I've thought of that, but thought that it might be considered pretentious in some way. Of course it wouldn't be...argh my head.

I dreamt that zhavas was Brad Pitt to my Ed Norton, and that somehow I was having blackouts in which I travelled to France to send mailart to myself. And I also dreamt that I was woken up by my girlfriend because he was outside my house.

hence the hint to evening classes. maybe you should have your fiancee look after you so that you don't dissapear in purcuit of some mysterious nightly chores. you could always have you tied to the bed or something, but then again she might misunderstand that.
