Enjoy!
I know it may not exactly look like lightning to you.
But, each eye has it's own perception.

I hate ignorant people like that, it's one thing to complain to the admin who picked something that you don't feel something deserved DD status but to comment on it insulting it and saying it's not worth of DD status is just ignorant and rude in my opinion.

You can bet he's only bitching at us because we're not admins, methinks he may get a nasty surprise.

they look like part of the nervous system... they'relike neurons, the nerves... and they send electric signals to each other... the very things why we can think... why we move... and thus the imagery... nerves.
on the other hand, lightnings are electricity too... thus the title...
am i close enough?

At first it reminded me of a nebula, or gaseous form in space.
Now it reminds me of placenta or something. Maybe I'm just morbid.
Very nice though.

I don't see how this is a factal? I don't see the repetition or the key...
What was the base of this? what were the reduction rules?

Have you tried using Apophysis? [link]
You'll see that it is in fact a fractal.

Its like lightening hitting the stormy sea i really like the volume it creates..like depth and all. like you can grab it. looks a bit like bronze too. or something from an animal. like a wateranimal.. transparant skin and such. it could be the sealing in villa borghese in rome

Looks like an organic machine, pulsing light through it's veins, maybe something underwater, somewhere around the Mariana Trench.

it looks like organic matter to me, like inside the human body. very interesting. doesn't look like the majority of fractal works I seen..

Ok, this is absolutely incredible, i really love it.
Apart that i love it for the smoothness of the texture/aspect you get here (of course it looks like lightning but for my imagiantion works better as flowing lava from some kind of strange vulcano, you're right, every eye has its own perception what i really love in here is the colors.
I work with Apophysis sometimes and for me it's too difficult to get good renders on colors as that and even more difficult to work with them then later on PS, but you obtained a wonderful result here.
I think this is one of the so few times in which i see a DD and catchs my eye and comment on it plus fav...
Congratulations.

Definitely reminds me of storm clouds, and I see lightning. In full view, I see veins that remind me of a living being. So I'd say this fractal definitely has life. It's also one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. You picked a gorgeous gradient. Awesome work!

Best Fractal I have seen. Brilliant. But I do think it looks more like something organic, rather than lightning. I CAN see how it would be called lightning, but I am still thinking of something living....

This looks both awesome and creepy at the same time. Kinda like a weird jellyfish-like mutant-creature who are being struck by lightning.

Wow, that's really nifty. If you'd asked me, I'd say it was a photograph, really awesome fractal skills there. I love the colours too... It reminds me of some sort of organic membrane and veins though... Kind of like those you'd see on a documentary on the Discovery channel, where they go "inside the body".
Yeah, it's really cool how everyone sees something different in it. It's a very interesting piece of art that way.

Yeah, you're probably right, it's very artistic and well crafted, compared to the #1 image right now. People will look at this and see it for serious art, instead of the hundreds of worthless "wow" comments that the top one has. You can tell that by the feedback it has received. People are actually writing deeper comments about what they see in it instead of quick one liners. This will only draw major attention from people that really understand how much effort and artistic creativity went into it. The typical fave bombers who know nothing about true fractals won't be drawn to it. I also find it very amusing that you have read through the comments and are tracking this image but am not surprised one bit by your comments. It is very sad that you responded to my comments instead of telling the artist how great a daily deviation it is instead. With that in mind, this conversation is over. If you wish to comment on this image again, tell it to the artist that received the daily deviation, I will not start a childish thread on someone else's art. I do encourage you to leave feedback on this image supporting a fellow fractal artist in his daily deviation accomplishment.
