"Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else" once said a brilliant writer... Though I'm not sure he was entirely right, after all those years spent in studying philosophy and literature, I still am unable to come to a firm conclusion about that poser.
Let's just say that just because it's in your head doesn't mean it isn't real. And because it is real doesn't necessarily mean it is an objective reality other people will agree with and consider as real. Some realities are shared, some others are not. According to me, seems like reality could exist between the minds as well as between the hearts. But it could also exist in a solitary mind. So, as long as they're ours, who cares where realities truly lie...

UPDATE

I'm submitting this piece for the Pride month project, because what I said about reality kind of fits my reluctance against something as "normativity" or "truth". Norms are shaped, they have nothing to do with nature or a natural function (Aristotle would hate me). They're products of the mind, in my opinion. That's why we can rewrite them. That's why we are all allowed to exist. And, well, obviously I chose the "Spirit" theme and colour (I reinforced the contrasts a bit), because I rely on my mind the most and because it's also the main colour in the asexual flag... Not that I'm particularly committed with anything concerning "my" community, but since a lot of people don't know that we exist, it might be useful to mention it too
