Man, are you cereal ?Chloe, caught in the act. Basically.
If you knew what my original project consisted on, you would never understand how my brain works... And, actually, neither do I. This is so far away from my first sketch, it's creeping me out. Whatever, as you can see, the shadows on the floor are a big WTF-mess. I tried something, but it's quite surreal. Also, I'm so stupid because I always (like, ALWAYS) work with the highest resolution possible... And we all know the higher the resolution, the longer the colorization. It took me sooo many hours, I'm DEAD !!
However, I kinda like how it turned out. LIS is one of my favorite games ever and the characters are just awesome (my personal favorite remains Kate, but Max is really cool too). I know the fandom ships Max and Chloe so hard it's canon, and actually, I do too. So... why do I keep on sacrifying Chloe at the end ?? WHY ?! But, you know, I always have the impression their future would be shit anyway, so, I just keep them both out of selfishness, I guess. I don't even care about the Bay, so, really, I wonder.

Well, for me the Chloe sacrifice ending felt so emotional, that it felt so real and you get the "canon" kiss. But when listened to LiS spoilercast last week the more I realized maybe the other ending wasn't too bad, they talked about how they loved so much they would sacrifice a town/city. It's like a way of saying "No Chloe, I've spent 5 episodes trying to keep you alive, I'm not gonna let that happen now!"
LiS holds a special place in my heart as well. I ship pricefield NOT JUST BECAUSE it is canon, but rewatching the first two episodes, made me realized "sigh, they're such good best friends, so cute together." And I totally freaked out when they almost kissed at Ep.3 XD
and it's the first canon gay couple I've seen in a video game

Hey there! I understand what you're saying. I always took Chloe's side during the game. I also saved Kate. When I saw the very last dilemma we had, I thought : "If I sacrifice the bay, then, all that I've done would be for nothing". Kate would die anyway, the investigation would be pointless, Rachel would have been avenged by a storm (culprits killed), not by justice (culprits caught), and truth would have not been recovered. And also, Chloe says before the choice she would regret letting her mom die. Max would regret it as well. It would be a selfish choice. Sad mood in the future, regrets for a lifetime, probably.
But, on the other hand, if we sacrifice Chloe, only Max remembers. Chloe dies still thinking her best friend let her down, never came back to see her, forgot about her. Plus she hasn't found Rachel. So she totally dies alone, angry, pissed at the world, and sad. And Max can't truly be happy after that either.
See? This is an impossible choice to make. Both cases have regretful consequences. Not regarding the number of people dying, but regarding the feelings. This is what I like about this game. It's a maze for the brain. No logic allowed. It pushes us to look deeper in other people's hearts. And in the end, it only teaches us to cherish the moment and to look closer at what surrounds us. To pay attention, freeze the frame for an instant. For that lesson only, that's a masterpiece of a game, really
Also, for the artwork (thx for your comment btw ), it's originally on paper for the lineart. Colours have been made on computer (which took me almost all day, 'cause I'm a slow worker).

OMG XD TRUE WORDS FROM I'd say A REAL MR JEFFERSON! I didn't even think about that, the "Kate would die anyway, and the investigation's pointless"! huh, maybe I just forgot because I only watched the 5th episode once; XD I don't wanna cry again!
And yeah, one reason why I would do the chloe sacrifice ending is because, yes it would be too selfish, even for Max to do; it would be so awkward for them; Imagine if Chloe would leave Max and Max says "Bitch, I killed a whole town for you." OMG noo
Do you think they're gonna make a LiS season 2?? I hope it's different characters, and not following the LiS endings, whatcha think?

If they do make a season 2, they better not take the same characters... that would be weird, since the gamer chooses their fate
