My mom commissioned me to make some art for her Hollow Knight fanfic "Ghosts That We Knew" a while back!
The specific illustration concept is that Ghost has recently added Lemm to their polycule, and is doodling in their journal accordingly. xD
The fanfic is a massive fix-it fic with lots of fun worldbuilding and so much love poured into so many of the characters, both main and secondary. I've been beta reading for her for most of it.
This illustration is for an idle thought that Ghost has in chapter 16 of the fourth work in the series; my mom gives some more specific thoughts about the illustration itself in the author's note of chapter 17.
