Hollow Knight AU for Linast and Phosa, mostly because I can and inspired by some discussion of possible roleplaying options with Ausp-ice . I had fun with the design. 
The vague undeveloped concept is that they’re a kingsmould that the Soul Master had gotten ahold of and used to experiment with storing large amounts of soul. Eventually the soul coalesced/broke free into a being of its own shaped by the kingsmould‘s original form, and there was enough life energy involved all around for sentience.

6 hours in Procreate, though some of that time was for several sketches and one full render of a different design that I ended up discarding.

Interesting concept. I especially like their left designs. They can de-fuse? It would be a good dual boss. They has one soul for two bodies or a different individuals? Sorry if my questions are dumb :S

They can indeed de-fuse! The middle one with Phosa over Linast's shoulder is what they look like when they're more or less separated from one another; Linast would look a lot like the collector, and Phosa gets a more ghosty form like a shade has. The designs on the left are what they look like when they're fully fused together and Linast is in charge of their body while Phosa is dormant, and the designs on the right are what they look like when Phosa is in charge and Linast is dormant. ^_^

In the middle Phosa looks like someone being mean to their (it's they/them? Sorry if I did mistake) sibling and they ready to kick that meanie away X)

Ah, thank you! I'm glad you like it.
And, hmm. That's a good question, actually! In their normal setting, Linast and Phosa use binary pronouns even though Phosa is genderless and Linast is nonbinary. So normally, Phosa uses she/her and Linast uses he/him. But... I'm not sure that the circumstances that lead to them doing that would have happened in the Hollow Knight setting! So they/them might be a better choice for this AU and this design, heh. I'll have to think about it.
Either way, yes, that's pretty much exactly what Phosa is thinking! Phosa is ready to jump in to defend Linast right away if needed, heh. I'm glad that came through with their body language and expression.

I love nice designs.
Nonbinary identities can be pretty difficult to fit in language, especially if it as heavily gendered as, say, Russian. That's why I like English more, but for native users "they" as a singular pronoun can be pretty hard for ears, I don't know, I'm not native.
I need to search in your gallery for these folks, they're interesting and cool.
