Those of you following my tumblr have probably noticed that I've been thoroughly entranced with Hollow Knight recently. Not only is it a fun game to play with an interesting world and characters, it also has a neat art style and absolutely gorgeous environments and lighting.

So, I decided to give said art style a try and do some fanart!

This is the second piece I've done; you can find the first piece here --> I’m working on at least one more.

At one point in the game, the Knight--the little fellow being carried here, and the playable character in the game--gets trapped in a dream by some magic dream ghost nonsense. The moth lady here rescues you/them from within the dream, but they wake back up in her home, not the location they passed out in.

And, well. Look. Listen. I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to illustrate a moment of kindness, especially something almost resembling a hug. The knight certainly doesn't get much positive physical contact, at least not on screen. So. Here we are!

3.5 hours in Procreate, plus a few final adjustments in Photoshop.
