This was a cool render for the lovers of the preggers look.

it's funny how them both gained elastic powers based on their personalities.

the power seems perfect to susan storm, because you know, before with her invisibility powers she was considered the strongest member.
with the elasticity, she shows great control of herself and whatever situation she's in.

Agreed. I enjoyed extended take on the alternate Fantastic Four and what his done with this Susan Storm. As you've mentioned, in standard Marvel, Sue is one of the most powerful characters around. But Sue (Ultrawoman) is still a formidable opponent who can probably out last her teammates without too much trouble.

I couldn't agree more that Ultra Woman have no problem outlasting her teammates during a battle. her malleability gives her a edge, too, because of whatever situation she's in, she don't have to put too much time into thinking.

It is amazing how versatile and adaptable the elastic heroes and heroines really are.

Which begs why they don't have a more crucial role in stories outside of Plastic Man, Elongated Man, and Mr. Fantastic.

You know what, I was thinking to draw Plonk along with Ultra Woman, since you brought up a point about having her teaming up with TT.
Too bad for Ultra, she has to deal with Plonk's big butt being in the way.

Not sure. From what I've read she hasn't demonstrated being able to do that with her elasticity. But wouldn't be surprise if she could.

I think and was talking to a friend about why there aren't as many elastic heroines in comics, if at all, he made up a good point that the comic book artists don't like to deform the female body form in any shape given for maybe sexual favors, hence there are still more heroes than heroines in general.

grumpygrimone In reply to derfs51 [2012-10-29 19:32:35 +0000 UTC]
That's another good point. It reminds me how Hollywood has a particular look it wants for it's females. And anything that takes from that would be wrong.

I can understand the risk for comic books to allow a elastic heroine or a villainess, for that matter, because the fanboys can go insane since any of them can deform, bend, compress, expand in any shape imaginable. but it's not like they're all have the same level of elasticity.

grumpygrimone In reply to derfs51 [2014-03-07 00:42:10 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but you can't underestimate the imagination of said fanboy. I, to my regret, know a couple of guys who like Β putting many heroines in compromising positions that they normally wouldn't Β be able to do. Even with the limits or stretch factors of some elastic ladies you'll have people pushing the boundaries Β of their bodies in one or another.

derfs51 In reply to grumpygrimone [2014-03-11 20:17:22 +0000 UTC]
I think that isΒ why most comic book writers are reluctant to put so manyΒ elastic heroines and villainesses(rubber, elastic, plastic, etc)Β in comics in the first place, regardless of their limits and abilities because the fact that they all go into dark places that writers and fans wouldn't dare to go into, but it don't always have to be that way.
Unfortunately, you don't even have as many of them, men and women, who are Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, and vice versa.

grumpygrimone In reply to derfs51 [2014-03-12 05:18:52 +0000 UTC]
Yeah power to stretch is very underrated. Characters like Elasti Girl from The Incredibles or Madame Rouge from Doom Patrol show that there's more to the ability that hasen't been touched on. It's be cool to see a lead female with elastic powers taking charge and being able to grow and get stronger as a character.

Another tough thing about it is hard to take elastic heroines as seriously. I would like to see if Plastic Man had a granddaughter who tries to follow in his footsteps as being the jokester of the team as Offspring has to be so overprotective of her, for her sake of being a walking punchline.

grumpygrimone In reply to derfs51 [2014-03-18 22:27:31 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it would be kinda difficult for people to take her seriously at first. But I figure with time and her proving herself she would gain respect and be a force to be reckoned with.

Hopefully there will continue to be more elastic heroes and villains (men and women) in the near future. at least it may be a longshot.

Because of her elasticity and malleability, Ultra Woman can use her powers in a variety of ways. even to disguise herself, she can change her face.

i read some of iwfan's stories and they're incredible.
what's amazing about ultra woman is her ability to adapt to any situation.she seems kinda nicer than the invisible woman.

I know. Ultrawoman seems a bit more down to earth then the at first shy now stict mother hen that's the Invisible Woman. But a guy I know says that IW is just as down to earth now to. I'll have to take him at his word since I haven't read any FF books in over a decade.
