Yes they are new thing and all but I have had this kind of idea in my head for god knows how long, and now I got to fulfill it with these two.

okay so if in understood your pointing right the the story for the image would go like this:
Vincent used to be very VERY self-centered and angry and proud child and thought that he and ONLY he has right to bully Kiuru. Back there when that image happened he was angry at kiuru for being better at hunting than him and ofcource he had to take it out on her even if she was ready to share with him.
They had small brawl there xD

But of course he has! Tho it can be coated in high jealousy over his "possession". Just like seen in two bottom left panels! He and only him is allowed to hurt Kiuru. Mostlikely Kiuru started to see him as a playmate OR and mate before he did see same potential in kiuru but well. THAT IS HOW THEY ARE.

I think it's really cute that he's quite the hard devil to catch, emotionally so to speak. But it makes a fun character and a little unpredictable which is always nice.
