I assume you drew this digitally? What brushes did you use for the beard? i love the dry paintbrushy feel.
and i read in your description that you work as a concept artist thingy for the gaming industry. i am going to college to study illustration with the same career path in mind. any advice?

After looking through all of the work that you have submitted (so far) this is my favorite. I have always been a fan of portraits (mostly doing them,) so this one really sparked my interest. I realized how much I liked it when I inspected and noticed the highlight in the tattoo on his (his) right cheek. Just that small white mark gives the entire piece so much depth for me, and being an illustration major I can really see this characters story begin to unfold. Marvelous work! I love it all, please continue to awe me.
