Well, screen shoots from the anime, I made illustrator files, had to look at a lot of pics from all angles, it was a pain.

I see. I'll try to make screencaps from the series, I hope I'll find a picture with the right angle ^^
Thanks

Thanks, there's one thing I'm still unhappy about my rifle : all the edges look very bumpy, not smooth at all. I'll cover all those surfaces with a little bit of resin which should allow me to sand them more properly and more finely.
How do you do to make the edges so smooth on your props ? Do you use bondo or something like that to cover MDF, or is there another way ?

I use body filler on all the edges, mdf can be a pain to work with, well.... Woods in general, I tend to cover everything with body filler, so it will be smooth, and it won't absorb too much primer.

Cool, I really got to try to use body filler ... that's what you guys call bondo, right ?
I usually use a small layer of resin (the one called "type eco" because it's the cheapest) to prevent wood from absorbing the paint, it's also usefull to make the edges more solid, but that resin consists of only a thin layer so it doesnt't really help getting rid of the "bumpyness" of my MDF edges ... I'll try body filler on my Seburo, maybe over a thin layer of resin first. I like how that resin is absorbed by the "fluffyness" on some parts of MDF, changing fluffy into hard solid ^^

ahhh , I see, well... I for the bumpiness, I block sand, cuz if i use fingers, the sanding will be un-even, and then i use bondo, to fill gaps and make it easier for the upcoming primer.
