Keldor comes from a race of tribal warriors, the Gar, and he trained in combat just like the rest of his people, so of course he has muscles. Only his face was melted off by acid.

That is a weird thing, especially considering what a pushover he is. It's weird that he's this cowardly wizard a lot of the time, but he's still all ripply with muscles.

But the skull face is the star feature. The clawed feet don't really add much after a thing like that! With those monster feet, he could never wear a pair of formal shoes. What a limitation!

I imagine you know this by now since the comment was from 2011, but Keldor comes from a race of tribal warriors, the Gar, and he trained in combat just like the rest of his people, so of course he has muscles from all that sword swinging. He pursued a path in dark sorcery before he began his plans to take the throne from King Randor. Besides, mages can be beefy too. XD

The monster feet come from when he was previously possessed by a demon in order to keep him alive after his face was melted off by acid. Eventually, Keldor's soul overcame the demon possessing his body, taking control again, and his feet went back to normal human feet. He tends to go barefoot since the Gar don't really do shoes or boots (neither do most of his minions), and it looks much grittier in contrast to He-Man and his crew in footwear. The old cartoon was one of those times Skeletor did wear boots though.

I gotcha. 

It's interesting for the older toy lines: some did boots, some did monster feet. The old TV series was loosely based on the original comics, but they excised the demon part to keep it more kid friendly and just went with boots for pretty much everyone, good and bad guys.

Skeletor makes an excellent badass, but he's also very funny, too.
