Love that look of annoyance and frustration as she finds the process of cutting across the mud slow and time-consuming, her feet sinking deeper into the mire with each step and the retrieval of her feet from the mud's stickiness and suction becoming more and more difficult.  I also like how you've depicted a change in the lighting of her surroundings to indicate the passage of time and the increasing duration of her struggles to make it home.

Again, love the addition of cattails to the right of the image, indicating the presence of a marshland.
