Why do they use weak underpowered M4s, when they have AKs?

Modern AKs that Russian Special forces conduct operations with, use a round that acts very similarly to the 5.56x45mm cartridge, so i don't think it would make much difference.

5,45x39 is much more powerful than 5,56x45 and even 7,62x39. Bullet construction causes much more tremendous damage than 5,56x45 or soviet latter. Besides, WTH Russians would even use US weapons when they have their own, that outclass M4 in term of raw power, robustness, simplicity, and reliability?

Well i did mention that they're Russians with m4s in the description so i acknowledged its not realistic by any measure. As for the technical stuff. I guess i should have said what i said right now.

Look. It's not about that I try to critisize or insult you. I simply try to tell, that M4 is unnecessary here. Pic is good, but M4 in my humble opinions spoils it. People want to see badass russians with badass weapon kicking bad guys asses with style,as when you need to kill every mf, "accept no subsitutes".

Russian SOF doesn't use M4A1. They use AK-74M with ZenitCo accessories in real life. That's the only thing that is inaccurate.

This is only partly true. AK105 is now in high priority in Alpha tuning. But, A-group has the ability to use and M4 with HK416.
