UPDATED 10/05/16 - LONG LONG OVERDUE rating of "Sold!" I literally only just saw the episode.What can I say? This season is an ALMIGHTY improvement over the previous ones! There are a couple I haven't seen, and the season got off to a rather shaky start, but look at this latest run! The last four episodes have been a really amazing run! When was the last time we had a run of great episodes like this?! If it weren't for Little Yellow Book and Squid Baby, I could consider this season almost as if we were entering another golden age! As of Lost In Bikini Bottom, we have hit a new era of episodes, the "post-second-movie" episodes. And there hasn't been a single bad one yet! The third era in SpongeBob has got off to a very strong start. This might be because Stephen Hillenburg returned to the show, who knows?
Also there are new writers as of the second movie, so this might be why there's an improvement. Patrick! The Game is seriously the best episode in a very long time in terms of comedy. Plankton's Pet is sweet, but Patrick! The Game actually had me laughing throughout. When was the last time a SpongeBob episode had me doing this?!
For those vehement against modern SpongeBob, I suggest you at LEAST check out Patrick! The Game. It is the best episode of the season and an absolute must-see.

I don't see what's wrong with it. It's an interesting concept, though the execution may have been iffy in a couple of places.

Squidward and Patrick play with baby toys, Squidward gets injured and becomes this really creepy baby, the entire episode is just Squidward getting his head hit, even though we know one hit may cause him to stay like this forever. It's just all-around horrible to watch, gives off really nasty vibes, is creepy also, and not funny in the slightest. It's just horrible to sit through.
That being said, in hindsight, I don't think this episode is bad enough to get an Abysmal, which is essentially my 1/10 rating. It might get upgraded.

No they don't - they are stupid and mercilessly abuse him and make his condition worse. Albeit by accident, but still, they're INCREDIBLY stupid and careless.

It wasn't THAT bad. But it was another one of those episodes where every single character gets unfair treatment. Patrick should have been left out of it altogether.

I somewhat agree this season got better. However, Squid Baby is the absolute low for Spongebob IMO.
May have to rewatch Patrick the Game as I initially found Pat's behavior in that episode to be atrocious.
