Fabulous and so easy to follow, this [link] is to one of the various results I got, will be posting some of them later.

BTW if you are interested I can note you the parameters, I used ngon for the finalX and of course modified some of the other variables.

got a couple problems, 1st is partly my fault. i dident have crop second is that, i dont have much visual on the tx's as i continue to follow this tutorial not sure why... maby you can help. heres what i have so far:

try to change your gradient coz this one is so dark
also, increase the brightness..

i don't think i know any tutorial covering about this. my suggestion is that if you cannot see your image, try to change your gradient first, and then try to increase the brightness.

Granted I rarely actually follow tutorials...but I love "stealing" basic ideas out of them...and this one really opened up crop for me. For whatever reason, despite how relatively simple crop is, I didn't really see many easy practical applications, and now...

I'm having problems using the crop plugins
This what it says prior to me opening Apo:


There were problems with some of the plugins:

Cannot open plugin file: post_crop.dll (Error #998-Invalid access to memory location)

The plugin is conflicting with something else. In context of this tutorial, just load the needed plugins and keep the others out temporarly.

Cool style! You can do away with the linked crop xform by adding post_crop to xform #1 and treating the variables in the same way. Occam's razor...

I tried this & compared the 2 results & found original a richer denser image than the post_crop version which reduced ribbons to lines & had some blank spaces where infill had been. But in this I simply deleted the T3 crop before adding the post_crop to T1. I'll try again from scratch, might have other results.

The variables would need to be matched first - a small non-zero value for the scatter is what creates the ribbons.
