Description this is the last page of my calendar.

i will upload the rest of the pages (the ones with the actual pictures and months on) when i can get onto the other computer and use the .gif making program i have on it, since the other pages are interactive with paper flaps and stuff...

warning this page is really large so you can read the type. it might take a wee while to load.

extra love to those people who have helped me though the creation of this, just by reading my journals and giving me your two cents. you guys know who you are, and more importantly; i know who you are

It looks like the text for July/August has been cut short: "(because no-one wants a Christmas Cake"

i love this concept.... i've never seen anything like it! i love how you're clearing up misconceptions, because the world is full of them... so to clear away a few is always great. the different styles are wonderful... it seems like a different artist each time, and makes the whole idea much more exotic (i think that's a good word to describe it ) and interesting, just like the descriptions (which i adore!!!)

i'd love to be able to buy a calendar like this... its wonderful!

Not sure if you noticed it or intended it, but the end of the "gothic lolita" section is missing a parenthesis and punctuation. It's a lovely project you've got going there, and I wouldn't want you to have an error in your finished project, especially because it's looking so polished and professional.

a BEAUTIFUL variety of styles. i definetly like the last one the best, from what i can see. i'd seriously love a copy. i guess i'll have to scrounge up some money from somewhere. . . -_-

you did an absolutely WONDERFUL job on this, and i can't wait to see the full pictures!!!! you have such amazing talent!

thank you so much man ^____^ i'm not sure if i'll be able to sell them, because it cost me the earth just to make the exhibition one, and it's only printed on one side - not 2 like it would need to be if it was for sale. it's hella expensiev @_@

ah, just the intro looks great X3 I love the diff styles you used for each section, it gives a nice variety for the final product

guava In reply to dan-heron [2005-11-05 21:53:27 +0000 UTC]

thanks! yeah, i had to go for variety in order to get more credits for the final project. if it was all drawn the same with the date in the same place in the same font style on every page i'd get less marks, haha.

That's a pretty good design for your calender.

It's an assingment right? When's it due?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

guava In reply to archvermin [2005-11-05 21:51:55 +0000 UTC]

yeah, it's due to be put up in the exhibition on monday. wah T____T its going to take me all day to mount this baby. so many flaps and tabs @_@ i hate mounting. i wish i could just hand it all in in a clear file

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

archvermin In reply to guava [2005-11-06 01:45:34 +0000 UTC]

Mount? Is it really big?

Well, tomorrow's the big day then, good luck on your grades.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

guava In reply to archvermin [2005-11-06 02:10:18 +0000 UTC]

im mounting each 'page' on a separate piece of board, so that people can pull the flaps back and stuff. so there'll be 6 boards (one for each page with 2 months on) and a board for the cover and back page each. so 8 in total. but some pages have as many as 6 A3 sized pages incorporated into the design (for the pull back flaps and stuff) so it's going to be interesting.

i also have 2 A2 sized boards i have to fill up with my Pepeha stuff ( [link] )... so it's going to be a long night of cutting and pasting for me. i HATE mounting stuff. i HATE cutting boards, becuase i am a retard when it comes to using rulers and scalpels and i can't cut straight or mount even.

If you're still online when you get this, could you please do me a massive favour and give me your 2 cents on this (since you always seem to know what you're talking about X3 )? [link] it's business cards for my exhibition.

thanks for the good luck wishes though ^____^

I actually wouldn't know whether I actually know what I'm talking about. I give my honest opinions and explain why I feel so as well as I can.

I've actually already gave my two cents on that one before reading this one. Hope that helps.

Very nice! There are a few slight grammarical errors (like the second sentance in the ama divers needs a stronger break and the gothic lolitas last lines is missing a cosing bracket?) But otherwise it looks great!

guava In reply to kitton [2005-11-05 21:47:23 +0000 UTC]

oops. this is the version i wrote between the ours of 4am and 7:30am friday morning @_@ i actually took it to school and edited it (there were some MASSIVE spelling mistakes... like when I don't know how to spell a word i'll just type something that looks similar and hope spellcheck picks it up... only i forgot to run it thru spell check X3), but of course that edited page is on the school comp. i've managed to truncate the end of the 'Gothic Lolita' paragraph here.. it should go on to read "afte the 25th).", i didn't even think to proof read it before i uploaded it onto DA @_@ i didn't notice the ama problem though, thanks. i can't be bothered reprinting, i'm hoping that people will be too busy looking at the pictures to read it X3

haha, no, i should have shown you earlier, actually. i needed someone to proof read but i had no one X3 coz no one else knows engrish eiver :B its embarrassing to have spelling mistakes on stuff like that. on DA i dont give a toss X3 yay! almost done X3
i should stop proΒ·crasΒ·tiΒ·natΒ·ing and go mount it >_> ( look! i spell checked X3 )

OMG... the ganguro fits your style TOO well. Everything else looks totally awesome! I really like the alternate style you used for the housewife, mimicking old samurai paintings. :3

This was well worth all the time and effort put into it - it's great. Awesome job, babe.
