Description
Here's my character study for Optimus Prime during my run on issues 9-12 of the Transformers ongoing series.(Published on 2010 by IDW Publishing)
It was used only in the issues I worked on, when the editor gave total creative freedom to each artist.

Seems like a pic where only one half was done, then flipped and matched up to make the other side. Even the tiny line mistakes are perfectly symmetrical.

The original art is only half of its headless body, and the head was taken from another picture.

I really liked this variation. The way both Optimus and Hot Rod conveniently had spoiler wings on their back for these chapters was also very neat storytelling wise. Even if it most likely was an accident.

pretty wicked as usual Guido. I am a messy scribbler myself, so your lines always impress me. however the symmetry is too perfect to be human....did you mirror this image or are you just a god? maybe you are a mech with a pretender shell?

The best Transformer there ever is and will be. To be honest, he doesn't look that much different from his G1 incarnation (this picture gives me RID vibes), but that doesn't bother me at all (the bookstores I frequent hardly ever have TF comics). I'll love the boss-bot no matter what he looks like
