The pathos in this is incredible; sad commentary on the wastefulness of war...

Everybody bashed AKOM for painting Prime's backpack white, yet it works so much better when IDW does it...

What's AKOM? Was it not white also in Rebirth cartoon?

AKOM is a korean animation company. They're responsible for 3 episodes from the 2nd season, 16 from the 3rd and all 3 parts of the Rebirth. They were infamous for shoddy animation and wrong colour layouts, including giving Prime a white backpack when it's supposed to be the same red as his body.

Yes. Toei animation, to be precise, except for Call of the Primitives (we're still not sure, but people have guessed Studio OX).

Absolutely brilliant! I love this cover. The composition is superb and after all that Prime and Megatron have been through, it's actually quite a touching image. Great stuff!

Wow.
If you don't mind me guessing on who the shadow is... I really want to say it's Kup just because of the shape of the head. But for all I know it could be Megatron. Which would make the most sense... but then again, we'll just have to wait and see!
Very sweet cover if I do say so myself!

It's Megatron if you look his head is peeking over the top of primes shoulder not the side, that part at the side is a part that's on his back and everythang XD

My money is on Ratchet, Megatron and Ratchet had some sorta psycho mind link in the old Marvel comics, which means if Megatron goes kaput, so does Ratchet and vice versa, so Prime's probably holding Ratchet as opposed to Megatron.

Nah, that's Megs, you can clearly see it by his legs, Ratches has different legs. Not to mention the head is lifted up, showing off that gun barrel on Meg's back poking out at Prime's arm.

Yeah, when I wrote that I was thinking more in context of the story than the actual image, I have no doubts the art depicts Megatron, but in context of the story, it'd be Ratchet Prime would be mourning, im a Megatron fan, and I guess im in denial they'll actually finish him off.

Well Megs has survived before....story wise...I don't think there's much left of good ole' Ratchet, he seemed to be nothing more then az head from what has been shown.

I do recall that comment being used for Transformers Prime, which, safe for zombies and a repaint, have been quite true so far.
Personally I would not mind seeing that, but I dare to bet that if they have Prime die again, he will return again...it's what Prime does.

Wow, pal. That's some powerful stuff. I'll say it again -- you really excel at taking the old style and AMPING IT UP TO 11!
And yeah, it's driving me nuts not knowing who that is... because it really does look like ol' Meggie's feet............
But I can't quite believe that...
