Very good rendering! I liked RiD because the characters were drawn the way they should look! I just wonder what the idea was behind of the character models used on the show.

I think I know why.  It's because the combiner teams were coming out for Christmas of 1985, and the Sunbow series had to rush to get them into the very last episodes of season 2.  At the time of production, the toys were still in a prototype phase, so many character models had to be improvised.  This seems particularly true of Swindle and a few of the Stunticons.

That's a pretty awesome rendering of Swindle.  I wish he looked like that on the show.
