Yesterday afternoon my wife and I stocked up on groceries, and we both wore our masks; what a surreal experience. My wife has been making the masks like mad, making a little profit, but not denying anyone who can't pay for them. I was originally going to work with the standard couch gag, and I ran across that cute scene in the beginning of the show where Marge and Maggie are in the grocery. I decided to update it a bit to this spring, as it was originally created in 1989. Let's just hope this quickly becomes a period piece, a part of history. This might be considered to be in poor taste, but I couldn't help but channel my rage at this disease into one piece of art. But, for now, Marge keeps her "social distancing" up and look - even Kim Jong Un is still launching his rockets.Here's to all you guys and gals out there - hopefully things are going well for you.

Knowing the Simpson's and their long production cycle, if they did do this gag, the outbreak would probably be over by then.

My wife was just saying the same thing the other day, about there being a movie. I think it will be a part of films, like the London Blitz or something like that. I think the last time we went through anything like this was the Cuban Missile Crisis.

I'm still at work, and been nearly as busy as ever. My wife works at a school, and will be off until August.

I'm doing better on the weekends as the connections aren't as bogged down. Let's see, the AZ governor issued a "Keep your fanny at home" directive on Thursday and said schools were done for the year. I wonder if that kid who was just getting by got a free pass to the next grade?

Same thing here. Reminds me of 1977 were we had so many snow days in the 8th grade that Ohio governor Rhodes signed off our time for school - we racked up 28 snowdays that year, and would have had to spend half the summer in summer school.
Or, will Bart have to work on the computer with Edna staring at him, and under the watchful eye of Marge...

Oh no, I just picked up on a stereotypical brand name that sounded kind of 1950-ish. Like calling a store "Sav-Mor" or something.Β
I think I mentioned that my wife is making masks, people are picking them up outside the house and leaving their money. She won't turn away anyone who can't pay for them, but she's got quite an enterprise going on. I found it amusing that I put $14 worth of gas in my car (I drive a tiny Yaris), and it was the first time I got gas in about three weeks. Work is only 7 minutes away. To me this is like being stuck in a movie theater, and watching Moe poke Curly's eyes out over and over and over...

I'm with kaspired regarding Dr. Monroe.Β We haven't seen him in ages.Β As for this latest artwork, while it is a nice poke at the Simpsons opening sequence ie: Marge in a grocery store checkout line, the masks on her and Maggie are an uncomfortable reminder of the current epidemic.Β I too am angry at the disruption of my life and everyone else's as well, but I'll be adding art that's more uplifting to my gallery.Β Just the same though, this is a mildly humorous look at how Marge would deal with the coronavirus.Β Well done. I struggled a bit with this one, but I am an editorial cartoonist among other things, and it was important for me to have at least one piece that chronicled what is going on; that trip to Meijer was honestly weird. I never thought in my life that I'd be wearing a face mask through the whole store like that. Like I said in my comments, I hope this becomes a period piece fairly quickly.

There was only one truly great editorial cartoonist, and that was the late Karl Hubenthal.Β I myself refuse to wear a face mask.Β I do wear rubber medical gloves when I go grocery shopping, but that's as far as I'll go.Β And I also hope this latest drawing becomes a period piece very soon.Β BTW, a nice poke at "Dear Leader" and his rockets.Β From what I've been able to gather, people in North Korea are, literally, dropping like flies.

Strange, I was under the impression that North Korea had been in "self-isolation" since the end of the Korean War. So I suspect they may be dropping because of malnutrition rather than Covid-19!!! Maybe it's the Chinese "advisors"Β Β ??Β
